OMARION
At 21 years old, with music, television, book publishing and movie credits under his belt, Omarion’s growth, maturity and depth are showcased on his sophomore, Epic / Sony Urban, solo effort aptly titled, 21. Of the album concept he acknowledges, “everyone can relate because it’s a memorable time. It’s a universal topic. It’s a celebration.”
While the number twenty-one is symbolic of the card game Black Jack, it also is representative of the number young people aspire to become and the reflective age that older folks wish they could return to. “The thing is- it’s control. When you reach 21, you’re buying property, you’re setting your life up- it’s a different place. You feel stable mentally. At 18 - 19, you’re so confused. To me, at 21, it was kind of a realization of who I want to become – just me practicing my morals as a man and getting better in my craft.” Being able to clearly articulate his thoughts, Omarion is not a kid anymore. Aware of his maturation, “as I grow older and in my craft, who I want to be as an artist and the guys I looked up to, it just meshes into one thing and that’s a period of time, and that period is now. I can definitely say when people hear the music I hope that they feel the same thing that I feel.”

It’s all most time again to showcase some of Canada’s best Urban Artists. Atlantic Canada will be blessed to have Hits Unlimited present “Urban Music Fest 08” and the “Choose Love Tour” featuring Jhevon Paris (Toronto) and Jordan Croucher (Halifax).
Your hosts will be no other then the sounds of the Illville Sound Crew: Hussles and DJ Loonie Toonez.
The event will happen in Halifax on Thursday, September 25 inside the Alderney Landing Theatre (Dartmouth Ferry Terminal) at 7:30 pm - $15 in advance and $22 after Aug 15th . Tickets will go on sale on July 22nd . ALL AGES.

Jhevon Paris's debut release, entitled DIRTY LAUNDRY on Five mil/SPG/UNIVERSAL RECORDS, is a journey through the mind of an artist who brings a new meaning to the phrase, BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF.
In a game that's over saturated with artists who often choose to be someone else, as oppose to being who they are due to someone else's vision, Jhevon Paris has decided to go a route that many will find controversial.
The Rock City Born Rapper/vocalist/songwriter's music brings a graphic depiction of topics that most would find unsuitable to touch on, I'm not just swearing every second like an idiot, when you stop bobbin your head and listen, I'm story telling and touching on situations that I've actually went through, this whole album is real! It's my escapades given to you uncut.
Jhevon Paris not only crossed the bridge, but also with hours of honing his lyrical craft, and becoming stronger vocally, he convinced Tulsa, Oklahoma 's super producer AngeloJACC SPADE Estes, and Toronto native Duane FIRST Blair whom Jhevon Paris feels is one of the sickest producers on earth, to see the vision he saw, and they did. I met JACC SPADE through my former management company. He was suppose to produce tracks for HEAT the group that I was in, but at that time it was mostly vocal with maybe a rap verse here or there. FIRST and I were friends from back home in Toronto , he knew what I was doing out in the U.S, so he was kept up to speed on what was happening. I was not known as a rapper, I was known as the guy in the singing group that knew how to rap, The transition wasn't as easy as people may think, I didn't want to fake it, there's nothing worse than someone rapping that shouldn't, its embarrassing and corny, FIRST saw the vision and so did JACC SPADE so we got it poppin and here I am.
My whole experience is a blessing it has shown me that there are second chances in life, and you can achieve your dreams if you work hard and believe in yourself. I went from literally eating out of hotel garbages to starting an entertainment company, and a clothing line. Many will find my album crazy and out of control, but that's me, if I was a gangster I would talk about it but I'm not so I am not going to pretend, I love women, so sue me! I'm giving fans the real me uncut, so whether you love it or hate it you got to respect it."

He's a rising star coming straight out of Montreal Quebec Canada, Causing a serious Impact in Montreal City's rapid Growing Hip-Hop and R&B scene. "TriZzE" (a.k.a Tre) A self-made producer and artist brings you a whole unique style of Hip-Hop and R&B flavor, known for his catchy hooks and breathless flows "TriZzE'' will have you moving non stop! Born and raised in Montreal City.
Tre began dancing for his elementary school concerts taking the crowd over and later was a member of a Dance group at the age of 16 Called the *05* crew known for taking the spotlight in every big event party downtown and winning countless battles. He then later formed an R&B/Dance group called "3Broz" which included himself and 2 other friends Ryan and O’Neill who are now known as "2Real" a hot upcoming R&B group produced by TriZzE. Double‘AA’ is one of the newest additions to the Halifax rap community; ‘AA’ (Jermaine A. Arsenault), was born and raised in Dartmouth, N.S, until he moved to Lawrencetown, NS in the year of 2002 only to realize he could not handle living outside of the city that raised him. In 2005 he moved back to Dartmouth rooming with CEO and founder of StreetBeatz Mixtapes who is also his brother Yarnell Arsenault. ‘AA’ first realized he had the ability to write music and piece together a song when he was in grade 8 when asked to feature on a very underground track as a joke; when it turned out better then they had expected, he then started making music in his kitchen with a cheap computer mic, and a variety of different beats developing the flow people now hear today. ‘AA’ has been off and on with his music from the time he started until the year of 2006 when he really started to push his musical career and expand his horizon, to a surprisingly accepting fan base. He released his first mixtape “Adult Advisory” recorded in ‘Tha Layer’ and his own home recording studio and has received a lot of love on his Myspace page. Born In Richmond,Virginia, (A'drian S. Bundy)BassZ is a Canadian Raised Upcoming Rapper/Producer. He is currently working on his Debut album which will feature tracks produced from Grammy Award Winner Producer Rockwilder. The Album will be titled "aka.Don De'marco". BassZ has also worked on songs with Former Ohio Players Lead Singer Dutch Robinson, Canadian Idol Finalists Gary Beals, Kaleb Simmonds & Brandy Callahan. He also has upcoming production work on Nova Scotia Artists Asia and Shane C. De'marco produced the music for Sko-Shun Tiez second album "Those Who Like It" which won 4 African Nova Scotia Music Awards. The Rapper/Producer also work on the jingle for Atlantic Loto Corp. Commercial, James Brown's "I Feel Good". His production was first heard when he produced the songs "Flesh" and "She" on rapper Bonshah's Album "Not On The Map" at the age of 17. Previously, Carl had Juno nominations in the "Best Reggae Recording" category in 2005 for the dancehall smash "Bare As She Dare" feat. CeCile, and 2004 for "Homie's Girl". His debut album "RNB" was nominated in 2003 for "Best Soul/R&B Recording".

Dammien Alexander Bio
Dammien Alexander has seen enough. Born and raised in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, he experienced a full spectrum of ghetto reality. Part of that reality was struggling through the bowels of the foster care system, frequent expulsions from school and a family life rife with a prism of beauty / disfunction. An only child and very introspective, Dammien began writing poetry. As he floated through the foster care system Dammien used his writings to log his emotions, first about love then about the state of things in his surroundings. He lost himself in music. Not just the Urban soul sounds of Philadelphia, but Dammiens eclectic taste had him buying albums by Billie Holly, Olivia Newton John and U2. Still at the core of his life was the skill of the lyricist. First demonstrated by Hip Hop hero LL Cool J and later by his exploring The Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, Prince and Jars of Clay. He took these influences with him from the United States to Canada and in this part of his journey Dammien Alexander evolves his creativity in two parts: Singer / Songwriter and Playwriter / Actor. Everything you want to learn about this man is right there in the language of his soul.

TRO is an MC/producer stationed in the soulful city of Halifax NS where he continues to create all his music. The tracks on this site ARE SAMPLE FREE ORIGINALS!! Now that's what he calls soul music....He is the SON of two respected musicians Coleman Howe & Yvonne Muzzy who have travelled with the likes of the Funkadelics, to Ben E.
